CONVEYOR SECURING IS A UPS PROGRAM USED BY OPERATIONS PEOPLE BEFORE GETTING ON A CONVEYOR BELT TO BREAK A JAM, REPOSITION A DIVERTER, WALK BELTS AT THE END OF THE SORT OR ANY TIME YOU HAVE TO GET ONTO A BELT. LOCKOUT IS A PROGRAM THAT COMPLIES WITH OSHA REGULATIONS. IT IS USED BY PEOPLE SUCH AS PE MECHANICS FOR MAINTENANCE PURPOSES SUCH AS REPAIRING, CLEANING OR RETRIEVING A PACKAGE FROM A MOTOR HOUSING

How do you know what the hazmat package is prohibited or not allowed in the UPS system?
Look at the prohibited poster in left rear of trailer/ or on supervisors desk.
What do you do if you find a nine at the leaking package bearing a prohibited diamond label?
Remove the package to a secure location and immediately contact hazmat
How often must you salt employees?
Ground loaders once/month and air loaders once/week
How long do you keep salt logs on file?
One month plus current working month.
What do you do when a non-leaking explosive 1.1 or 1.2 prohibited packages is discovered in the system?
Stop the operation, clear the area and notify the appropriate chain of command

What is and HM10? What is your responsibility if you receive notification of an HM10?
An HM10 is a hazmat discrepancy or package that should not have moved through our system. I would investigate what caused the HM10 and re train any employees involved including disciplinary action if necessary.
What do you do when an undeclared hazmat his Discovered?
Stop the progression of the package and call an RMP or responder to process the package. Insured the package is held pending an investigation, not allowing its disposal or release until authorized
