How are emergency lights activated?
They are controlled by a switch in the flight deck placed in the ARMED position. The can manually be turned on by turning the switch on on.

Note: exterior emergency lights only illuminate if the slides are deployed.
What kinds of emergency lights are outside the aircraft?
Integrated escape slide lighting built into the sliding lane and at the base of the landing area.
A light on the fuselage is on SOME aircraft.
What are the emergency descend devices located and what are they used for?
They are attached and stowed in a ceiling compartment near the flight deck overhead door.
They are used to lower flight deck occupants to the ground during emergency egress through the flight deck overhead door.
If a fire extinguisher is discharged in the flight deck area, what procedure must be followed?
All flight crew members must wear oxygen masks and use 100% oxygen with emergency selected.
What is the minimum duration of the PBE and what could increase or decrease its duration?
15 minutes
Physical activity and lower respiration frequency.
How is the PBE activated?
By pulling the lanyard at the top bottom of it.
What is the fire/crash ax used for?
It may be used to force open an area behind panels to extinguish panels.
