A decision-making tool used by personnel at all levels to help identify, assess, and managing risks, it minimizes risk to acceptable levels.

Severity is measured in roman numerals (I,II,III,IV)

What are the 4 severity categories?
I.) loss of the ability to accomplish the mission, Death or permanent disability
II.) Significantly degraded mission, extensive damage
III.) Degraded mission capability, minor damage
IV.) Little or no adverse impact
What are the 4 probability categories?
A.) Likely to occur
B.) Probably will occur
C.) May occur
D.) Unlikely

What is the purpose of PPE?
PPE establishes a last line of defense, to minimize hazards.
What is the purpose of safety stand downs?
To minimize mishaps both in and out of the workplace, also to give all unit personnel a good understanding of do’s and don’ts in regard to safety
What is Ergonomics?
Essentially fitting the workplace to the worker(s)
