What 3 things must be present during a fire?
Fuel, Heat, & Oxygen.
What are the 4 main rules of restraints?
- If a restraint is tied, the knots should NOT be placed over a boney prominence so that bed sores don’t form.
- If a patient is restraint check on them every 15-30 minutes & release them every 2 hrs.
- Restraints should be tied to the bed frame & NOT the side rails.
- The limb that is being restrained should be checked frequently for blueness, swelling, or pale skin.
