Included statutory rights to protect children
- all staffs primary responsibility is to the child and their family
Care act 2014
Ignoring medical, emotional, physical care needs
Failure to provide access to health, care, support, education
Withholding necessities of life eg medication, food, water
Included self neglect - people not able to look after themselves
Duty to intervene in these situations otherwise considered neglect
Mental capacity act 2005
People who lack capacity must have an independent mental capacity advocate to help make decision about serious decision that are not life threatening

Recognition of the sign of people who have been or are being drawn into terrorism

- is it likely to reverse in the near future?
- is the treatment urgent / can it wait?
