Pipe wrench
Serrated, grip pipe, fitting and round objects.
Back of the hook jaw shouldn’t touch the pipe
Hex wrench
Smooth jaw. Grip flat-side objects
Spud wrench
Smooth jaw, grip flat side objects, only in 12” wrench size
Chain pipe wrench
Used when piping runs are too close together for pipe wrenches to be used
Two types: 1. Uses a length a link chain. 2. Uses a length of roller chain
Serrated jaw
Tube cutter
Sizes from 1/8” to 6”
Tube cutters include a reamer or debuting
Crosscut saw
Cutting across the gain of wood
Ripsaw
Cutting with the gain of the wood
Snips
Generally used to cut 18 gauge metal
Commonly compound action snips and aviation type snips
Single wheel cutter
Leave only internal burr
Multi wheel cutter
Large burr forms on both inside and outside
Pipe reamer
To move internal burrs on pipe after the pipe is cut
Pipe threader
National pipe thread(NPT) or American standard pipe thread(ASPT)
