What does reconciliation focus on?
Forgiveness in our life and acceptance of that forgiveness.
Mortal sin
A serious act against Gods law that we knowingly and freely choose to do. ONLY FORGIVEN IN THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION!
Venial sin
Less serious than a mortal sin. CAN BE HEALED IN THE SACRAMENT OF THE EUCHARIST.

Our conscience helps us to know between good and evil
Describe perfect contrition
Feeling sorry for our sins because of our love for God, not because we are afraid of punishment
Three actions the pennant
Express contrition or sorrow for sin.
Confess these sins to the priest.
Intend to make reparation(FIX IT) and do works of reparation to correct any harm the sins may have caused.
Holy Communion Faith words
Tabernacle – a cabinet like enclosure for the consecrated host.
Adoration – the act of worshiping or honoring God as divine.
Exposition – honoring the Blessed Sacrament by placing it in view of worshipers for adoration.
Monstrance – a special container in which the Eucharist is placed for adoration.
5 Effects of Confirmation
-Increases and deepens baptismal graces.
-Unites us more firmly to Christ.
-Increases the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
-Makes our bond with the Church more perfect.
-Strengthens us as witnesses of Jesus.
Vocation
A vocation is how we serve others and God, not only through our chosen job or career but through our everyday lives.
What are the three levels of holy orders?
- The Ordination of Bishops
- The Ordination of Priests
- The Ordination of Deacons
What are two kinds of ordained deacons?
- Transitional – go on to priesthood
- Permanent – they may be married before becoming deacons. They do not go on to the priesthood.
The Effects of the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick?
- The uniting of the sick person to the Passion of Christ, for his own good and that of the whole Church.
- The strengthening, peace and courage to endure in a Christian manner the sufferings of illness or old age.
- The forgiveness of sins.
- The restoration of health.
- The preparation of passing over to eternal life.
