What is the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist?
It is the true body and blood of Jesus Christ, together with his Soul and Divinity. Appearance of bread & wine.
What does it mean to be in the state of grace?
to be free of mortal sin and pleasing to God.
Is it a mortal sin to miss Mass?
Yes, unless you have a good reason (sick, bad weather, unable to drive)
What is required before you receive Communion?
don’t eat one hour before, be in a state of grace (no mortal sin on your soul)
Is Jesus Christ truly present in the Eucharist?
Jesus Christ’s body, blood, soul, and divinity is truly present in the form of blood and wine.
How is Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist?
The bread and wine are changed into the Body and Blood of Christ by the power of God
Why has Jesus Christ given himself to us in the Holy Eucharist?
To be the life and food of our souls.
