Q

Bilateral Sacral Extension BLT

A

Patient is supine and doc is on the side of the table. You want to push extend their sacrum. Thus, push the apex (located between both ILAs) anterior.

  1. Lift the sacral apex up to ligamentous balance

Q

Forward Sacral Torsion BLT

Supine

A
  1. Patient is supine while the doc is on the same side as the rotation.
  2. Push up on the sacral sulcus that is deep.
  • If L on L; push up on the R sacral sulcus
  • If R on R; push up on the L sacral sulcus
  1. Test breathing and hold in the phase that provides the best balance
  2. Tell patient to hold for as long as they can
  3. Repeat until best motion is obtained.
