what resources do you need to conduct your program?
facilities, venue, grounds and natural environment
how can you obtain feedback?
through informal and formal methods. informal may include walking around the gym for example and seeing if people are using the sweat towels. and formally surveys and questionnaires would be appropriate.
how do you maintain and update records?
by documenting all feedback, evaluations and out comes of the educational program, then filed accordingly to organisational policies and procedures.
how can you promote your program?
flyers, handouts and brochures, video and film, signs and posters, formal presentations, social media and email.
what are the three user groups?
Regular uses, new or occasional and spectators.
when producing an educational activity, you should…
make it as complex or as simple as it needs to be, keep your language simple and consider visual representations.
what are the target groups?
Linguistic, cultural, children, older adults, those with disabilities or learning difficulties
what are contingencies?
contingencies are back up plans in relation to issues that arise unexpectedly.
what is some equipment you may need?
data projectors, computer technology, multimedia, interactive equipment, props and mobile technology.
why should you analyse feedback?
all feedback should be collated so you can get an over all view of the education program so you can identify why what worked well, what didn’t and what can be improved next time.
what are some considerations for new users?
needs education program that starts from the very beginning and guides them through every step. Need regular formal updates and reminders. benefit from face to face interaction.
what are some considerations for regular users?
they may require updates on changes and reminders on safe and effective use of resources.
what are some considerations for spectators?
may need education on accessing and using resources and important safety information. ie toilet access, food and water, ticketing and seating arrangements.
how can you evaluate a program?
you can evaluate a program by seeking and acknowledging feed back from user groups on the effectiveness of the program. this can be down formally and informally.
what is informal evaluation?
informal evaluation includes strategies such as determining the number of those who attended the program and observations.
