what changes was made to Family Law Act 1975?
It brought changes in regards to divorce.
1) couples had no longer had to initiate divorce on the fault grounds such as abuse and matrimonial offences, rather they can divorce without bringing up any reason.
2) it reduced the time which was required to pass before a divorce order became absolute – from 3 months to 1 month
what are some of the advantage of couples being able to divorce without giving any reason?
The Children are not being traumatised by the parents finding fault in each other.
The court process will take less time.

when did Federal Circuit and Family (FCFC) court began operating together?
1th september 2021
The FCFC brings together the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit
Court of Australia under a unified administrative structure. Each court continues
to exist as divisions of the FCFC.

the reason for the establishment of Circuit court?
- Relieve the workload of the Family Court
- Make the legal process quicker and cheaper for families
