Scrum Overview

A

Scrum is an empirical process framework.

Empiricism assert you made decisions based on what is knows. While using Scrum you’re going to gather evidence in many forms (ex : stakeholders feedback, and that feedback would allow to tacticly move forward to one place of value to next).

Scrum is about making progress and value visible so you can focus on what matters.

Some people called it a 3-5-3 process : 3 accountabilities, 5 events and 3 artefacts but it’s much more than that. Scrum will help you and the team you work with develop product with and to maximize the value that the product could deliver. purpose.

It does this by providing guidance and rules on the form of the Scrum framework.

The team could use complementary practices, technics, activities and processes that help.

A

Take a product (does not need to be physical, it could be a website or a service). Sc Team that develop the product contains 3 accountabilities (a PO, a SM and Dev).

There’s a timebox called a sprint in which the team collaborate together and are being accountable of different parts of the product delivery. They want to implement an empirical feedback loop.

They use the 5 Scrum events, to achieve this loop.
All of them work with artefacts that ensure the commitment in a form of Prod goal, Sp Goal and a DoD.
