How do you indicate in Russian playing an instrument?

A

You use на ( indicating you play ON the instrument) and tack on ‘е’ at the end of the noun - Same process as if you were indicating you’re ‘in’ a place or ‘on’ something

You use the в construction (indicating moving towards something) but then do not add the ‘Е’ sound at the end as you would for an instrument (Ex - мне нравится в теннис)

Male - add ‘у’ to the end of their name
Female - replace the ‘а’ at the end of their name with ‘е’

Basically, you are saying ‘to him’ or ‘to her’ something is pleasing or whatever
