Reasons for the Great Fear (4)

A

1) Peasants feared they would be attacked by Brigands and foreign mercenaries
2) The peasants had already been revolting since around March
3) They wanted to express their anger from existing grievances
4) Peasants destroyed Manorial Rolls, which contained documented the taxes and rents peasants were required to pay
