influx of tourists can have huge negative impact on the environment e.g. walkers may cause footpath erosion, tourists may litter, stone walls could be broken if climbed over, tourists’ cars may cause congestion + pollution in rural areas, tourist facilities e.g. campsites may spoil natural look of the countryside. Some activities may also be seasonal e.g. fruit picking
