You’re approaching a roundabout and you want to go straight ahead. When do you need to signal?

When can you enter a box junction?
You can enter a box junction ONLY when:
-exit road is clear
-you are turning right and exit road is clear but this is prevented from oncoming traffic
You are at a crossroad and want to turn right but oncoming driver wants to turn right as well. How should you approach this.
Let oncoming driver keep to your right and after he turns, turn behind him
You are approaching a level crossing and amber lights come on. What do you do?
A level crossing, where railway line crosses the road
Stop behind the line if there are amber lights or flashing red lights (there might be another train)
Only cross if you are already on the crossing
On which side can you overtake?
-Left
-Right
If it is a one-way street, which side can you use to overtake
If you are planning on overtaking, overtake on the right.
However, on a one-way street, you can overtake on either side
You are on a busy road and you find that you are travelling in the wrong lane and wrong direction. What should you do?
Keep going until the end of the road until you find a side road so that you can quietly turn around.
You cannot find a parking space in a car park and have no choice but to park on the road side. The speed limit on that road is over 30mph. On which side should you park and what else should you do?
On a one way street, which side do you park?
-park on left hand side of the road
-MUST leave sidelights on if speed limit>30mph
-this is with exception of one way street where you can park either side

Double white lines (line closest to you is solid) means that you cannot stop or straddle over the line except in these circumstances where it is safe:
-turning into a premise
-passing a stationary vehicle
-overtaking a slowmoving vehicle/pedal cycle/slow moving horse if they are travelling <10mph

-short white broken line

Lines in the middle of the road
- short white broken line: separates traffic lanes
- long white broken line: warns that there may be hazard ahead; and to only overtake if road ahead is clear
-chevron: separate lanes of traffic; protects traffic turning right
