What does the Possessive noun show?

A

He Possessive Noun is used to indicate “OWNERSHIP”.

For example:

This is Kate’s pencil case.

In the sentence above, the possessive noun “Kate’s” indicate who the pencil case belongs to.

Did you notice that the girl’s name is Kate and that an apostrophe with the letter “s” is added?
