Chandragrupta Maurya
321-185 BCE he began conquering the Macedonian satrapies (provinces ruled by Macedonian governors) and united Northern India under control. At 20 he proclaimed himself as the ruler. while he ruled he continued to expand the empire through conquests and alliances.
Siddhatrtha Gautama
568 BCE, he was born in luxury as a prince, and he was shielded from all death and sickness. he encountered sickness and old age, and death for the first time. It left him wondering while people suffer and how it could end. at the age of 29, he left his wife and new born son to search, he went through India for about 7 years, while meditating, he gained the answer and began sharing it. he created the four noble truths, he founded buddhism and the eightfold path, and nirvana.
Ashoka
270-323 BCE. he was chandragrupta Mauryas grandson, he built an empire that covered 2/3 of the Indian subcontinent. after viewing the horrors of war, he announced that he would follow the teachings of Buddha and become a man of peace. Buddhism grew during his reign. he created Ashokas Rock Edits.

320-374CE, he used whatever means necessary to remain in control. during his rule he founded the arts,sceinces,hinduism became the dominant religion.

374-415 CE, he eased tax burdens, arts, science continued to flourish. the iron pillars of Dehli was commissioned after his victory against Vihilakas, honours the Hindu God Vishu. it has stood for more than 1600 years without rustling or decomposing. the empire weekend after his death in 550 CE.
