How do you answer in your own words questions?
You select the part of the passage that is relevant to the question and put it fully into your own words.
You must NOT quote.

Tone questions are asking you about how something is said, which reflects the attitude of the writer

For this in a question you have to explain the function of the extra information in relation to the context

What is word order used for?
To give impact to the words and change tones
What is sentence length used for?
Shorter sentences give information quickly and directly. The length of sentences can be used to give a sentence a different effect and meaning.
