- Explain (The writer’s ideas or what they are suggesting)
- Show an understanding of structure (How paragraphs are structured, how introductions/conclusions work, how paragraphs are connected)

What does an introduction do?
A
Hooks the reader in, introduces key ideas

A
Sums up key ideas in a way that’s easy to memorise, links back to ideas mentioned earlier
