Article 9- FRA
A risk assessment should be reviewed regularly to keep it up to date, valid and to reflect any significant changes. Annually by BAA
Article 14- emergency routes and exits
emergency routes and exits are to be kept clear, suitable for the circumstances and allow passage to a place of safety as directly as possible to allow a quick and safe escape.
special evac. Arrangements may be needed for people with impairments.
Article 21- training
The responsible person must ensure that his employees are adequately trained and record this where he has five or more employees.
Article 29- alterations notice
These are given to premises considered to be of high risk.
Article 30- enforcement notices
An enforcement notice is given when the responsible person has failed to comply with any provision of the order.
Article 31- prohibition notices
A prohibition notice is the most stringent and can prohibit the use of the premises to ensure the safety of relevant persons.
Article 35- appeals
A person served with a notice may appeal to a magistrates court within 21 days from the date it was given. This will suspend the notice until it is disposed of or withdrawn.
Prohibition notices are not suspended unless the court directs otherwise.
