Drivers licence types and there conditions?
Learner = 2 “L” plates, accompanied by full licenced person, must carry licence
Restricted = between 10pm and 5am be accompanied by full licenced person for 2 years, if carrying passengers must be accompanied by full licenced driver
Full = must carry licence while driving
What is inconsiderate driving?
Driving that includes inattention or thoughtless actions or omission which is inconsiderate to other road users (e.g. driving at slow speed to hinder traffic)
What is careless driving?
Falling below driving standards of reasonable motorist (e.g. colliding with correctly parked car while driving down street)
What is dangerous driving?
Driving in a manner or speed which was or might have been dangerous to anyone (e.g. pulling out to oncoming traffic to overtake)
What is reckless driving
KNOWINGLY disregarding ones duty as driver or DELIBERATELY running an unjustifiable risk of injury or collison (e.g. trying to outrun patrol car by speeding, turning lights off, endangering public)
Definition of a vehicle
Anything equipped with wheels, tracks or revolving runners (e.g. skateboard, roller skates, hover craft, car)
What is section 113 of LTA (DIMDFFD)
DIMDFFD
D - direct (person on road, details)
I - Inspect (test/examine)
M - Move (move obstruction)
D - direct (to remove vehicle)
F - forbid (unlicenced)
F - forbid (transport service)
D - direct (to stop vehicle/pedestrian on road)
Section 114 of the LTA
Stopping/demanding info
- Any enforcement officer in uniform may request/signal a driver to stop AND demand driver states full personal information.
Section 115 LTA
Banning vehicles:
115(a) - power to direct vehicle not to be driven on road if rgtb it fails with regulations
115(3)(b) - rgtb isnt safe so you may pink sticker so vehicle cant be used until repaird/inspected/approval given
Section 121 LTA (FARMED)
F - forbid person to drive for specified time
A - all keys to be surrendered
R - render vehicle immobile
M - move any vehicle causing obstruction
E - EBA offenders forbidden to drive for 12 hour period.
D - direct person to drive to specified place

Obtaining information
- require owner/hirer of vehicle to give all info/identification within 14 days

- rgtb seizing vehicle is in best interest for public safety, but can seize for no longer than 12 hours

- good cause to suspect someones failed to stop/committed offence then an officer can without warrant enter premises by force if necessary to excersice/complete breath alcohol procedure
