For personal monarchy and royal ceremony. It was through the court that patronage was distributed.
What is personal monarchy
The political power and influence of an individual which depended more on the relationship the person had with the monarch

Attended court hoping for patronage and gave advice to the king

What were the different parts of the court?
*Hall- network took place ie entertainment
*Guard Chamber- this was were you had to pass through for access to the royal quarters GUARDED BY THE THE YEOMEN OF THE GUARD
*The chamber- overseen by lord chamberlain- court communication and holding audiences
*Privy chamber- kings private quarters for work and leisure ( much like the Italian model)
