BTV

Note: Precision on runway condition:

A

CAUTION BTV must be used only on dry and wet runway.
The use of BTV is prohibited on contaminated runway.
The use of BTV is prohibited on the runways 13 R or 13 L associated with the approach
VOR or GPS 13 R or 13 L “CANARSIE” at JFK airport if the last coded point of the
approach is above 700 ft RA.

  • Any runway declared damp must be considered wet
  • Any wet runway including a PFC or grooved surface must be considered wet
  • Any wet runway declared as slippery when wet must be considered contaminated
  • Any wet runway associated with a Braking Performance Level less than “5 - Good” must be
    considered contaminated.

    BTV can be used every time at landing, independently of wind condition, visibility, aircraft configuration
    (e.g. weight, CG, landing configuration), manual landing, automatic landing.
    BTV cannot be used in the case of ECAM alert that impact the landing performance

ROW - ROP

Runway Overrun Warning - Runway Overrun Protection are certified:

A
  • On dry and wet runway only
  • With thrust reverser available
  • Without any alert that impacts landing performance.
    Note: In the case of alert that impacts landing performance, ROW-ROP alerts are available. The
    ROW-ROP alerts are based on landing performance that does not take into account the
    performance penalties linked to the alert that impact the landing performance.
    Note: On contaminated runways, ROW-ROP are available but do not prevent runway excursion
