starting at 6 weeks and before 15 weeks
last dose needs to be administered at 8 months of age

risk of intussusception with rotavirus vaccine?
yes, very low

contraindications to rotavirus vaccine
- allergic reaction
- previous intussception or risk of developing intussception (i.e unrepaired meckle or other lead point)
- immunocompromised and contraindicated to receive live vaccines
NB having an immunocompromised person in the house is not a contrainidcation for rotavirus vaccines (except mom on biologics because baby might not have the antibodies)
when to report intussusception possibly associated with rotavirus vaccine
if the vaccine was in the previous 21 days
