What is rosacea?
A
A common persistent eruption of unknown aetiology

what are clinical features of rosacea?
A
mainly 30-50 years ususally females of celtic origin on forehead, cheeks, nose and chin "flushing and blushing" periorbital and perioral areas spared vascular changes: erythema + telangectasia inflammation: papules and pustules

what are some potential complications of rosacea?
A
blepharitis
conjunctivitis, rarely keratitis and corneal ulcer
associated rhinophyma in some cases

what is the management of rosacea?
A
cool packs if severe
avoid factors that cause facial flushing
sun protection
soap free cleanser
systemic antibiotics (eg doxycycline) repeat for recurrances (avoid maintenance)
laser therapy
