1.How does Shakespeare present Romeod feelings towards juliet throughout the play? Act 2 scene 2

A

Throughout the play, Shakespear presents love as naïve, joyous mostly idealic and very young. Juliet=shrine, Juliet refers to as pilgrim =religious connotations, Worshipping J. Shakespeare presents Juliet as an atypical Elizabethan female who dominates Romeo her, ‘pilgrim’ Perhaps Shakespear has used these religious references to illustrate their love is bound by the soul-and is a necessity for them to even stay alive. Thus when the theme of Death is introduced in act 5s3 their actions demonstrate their ‘need’ for eachother. The motif of poison may be a symbolysis fo the scrutiny juliet was under in the Elizabethan patriarchal society. Wakes up uses dagger (juxtaposition) happy dagger’lifes true meaning-love. Act 2-“romeo where art thou” j desperation and longing identified through repititon of his name and RQ. Without juliet love, there would not be Romeos love
