The last ranking is the Praetorian. This rank is only available to anyone in the upper class. They are exempt from harsh labor in the military and only need to serve 16 years.

A

This battle was between Carthage and Rome. Hannibal was the leader of the Carthaginian Army. He was a great strategist which resulted in many victories. Rome retaliated by attacking Hannibal’s supply depot, Spain. General P. Cornelius defeated Hannibal at Zama in 202 BC. Hannibal committed suicide in order to avoid being captured. In 201 BC, Carthage made peace with Rome.

A

When the Roman soldiers tried to fight back, they were either shot or died from heat exhaustion. Their fighting strategy was to form a dome using their shield. It protected them from the arrows but not the heat.

A

A

After Darius III fled to the east, instead of chasing after him, Alexander went on to conquer the east because he wanted the sea route. He came the city of Tyre. His army could not cross the sea barrier, and so they spent half a year building a land bridge all the way out to Tyre. When the bridge was completed, the people of Tyre tried to scare away the soldier with sewage. This pisses the soldiers off so that when they conquer the city, they slaughtered 80k people.
