What led to the first Romans?
Aeneas established a long line of Latin kings which resulted in the founding of Rome. Hence, Aeneas was known as the first Roman and his character traits and qualities are examples of the qualities the next people of Rome would possess.

The forms of Roman entertainment were Gladiator fights, juggling, dancing, musicians, sea battles, and animal fights
What was the Roman republic? How did it work?
The Roman Republic was where citizens got to vote for representatives to run the government. However, not all groups of citizens got to vote.
How is it similar and different from the US government we have today?
They divided political power among different branches of the government. However, they did not have a democracy.
Define monarchy, aristocracy, and democracy.
A monarchy is ruled by a king or a queen, an aristocracy is ruled by rich people who own the land, and a democracy is ruled by the common people.
What does SPQR stand for?
SPQR stands for Senatus Populuque Romanus.

Name several Roman Provinces and areas of expansion.
3 Roman Provinces are Africa, Asia, and Arabia. Areas of expansion were North East Africa, the whole Mediterranean, and most of Europe including Great Britain.
What helped them conquer on sea?
The Romans became sailors and used their knowledge of fighting on land to help them fight on sea. Also they converted their ships into troop transports.
Why were they great at expanding their empire?
They were great at expanding their empire because they were persistent and did not give up. For example, the Romans lost many battles but refused to give up and eventually won them.
How is the Westward expansion of the United States similar to the expansion of Rome?
It is similar to early Rome because both places started small and soon got bigger and bigger over a diverse area. Then they both got to a limit where they could not get bigger anymore.
The United States is made up many people from many places. How is this similar to early Rome?
This is similar to early Rome because early Rome stretched all the way to Africa to as North as England, so they would have a lot of diverse culure throughout the empire.
