A
  • Decides what will be done in what order
  • Knows why they work is being done
  • Is responsible for the ‘vision’ of the product
  • Defines the items (stories) that are to be delivered
  • Signs off the work as ‘done’
  • If you know Scrum, you will know this role as the Product Owner

Core and Support Teams

A

Support teams exist to enable the core teams to do things right first time and are not there to ‘police’ or review at a delivery gateway.

Having support teams tends to lead to cross-team dependencies, which is why a fully capable core team is often considered to be better.
