What is a direct care provider?

What is a communicator?
Therapeutic communication for:
- Needs of the client.
- Facilitate communication in the healthcare team.
- Advise the community about health promotion and disease prevention.
What is the client/family educator? What are the two components?
Assess needs of client/family education
Implement: the teaching plan (counseling, demonstration).
Evaluate: its effectiveness (teach-backs, demo back).
What is the client advocate?
Support their decision while:
Protecting clients from harm when they are unable to make decisions
What is a counselor?
Requires good:
Communication skills and the ability to advise clients about health-related issues
What is a change agent?
Helping individuals, families,
Groups and communities, or societal level enhancing health.
What is a leader?
Inspiring others by setting examples

What is a manager/case manager?
Manager = managing the activities of all members of the team
Case manager = coordinates the care delivered to a client
What is a research consumer?
Use evidenced based practice to
provide the most appropriate care, identify clinical problems that warrant research, and to protect the rights of research subjects
