What is a lay person (plural laity)
An ordinary member of the Church (not ordained) who wishes to carry out the mission of the church

What is solidarity?
Including other people when acting for them
Helping people help themselves
Educating others on people’s needs
Allowing people to share their experiences with the community
What is common good?
Helping everyone to grow and learn
Celebrating everyone’s achievements
Supporting the less fortunate in our community
Helping people to understand their importance & responsibility
What is care for our common home?
Shared views on what is acceptable for the environment
Clear policies on single use plastics, composting & recycling
Rewarding or holding to account unacceptable behaviour
Regular activities to promote environmental care
What is preferential option for the poor?
Regular activities for the poor in the UK and abroad
Information and education on issues facing the poor
Helping the poor and vulnerable in our community
Making room for poor and vulnerable during our community celebrations
What is subsidiarity and participation?
Encouraging others to get be involved and active
Including people in decisions
Empowering every person’s voice
Giving opportunities for feedback and input
