How do plates move?

A

Molten magma in the earths mantle moves in it circles(convection currents), this makes crustal plates crash together, pull apart and slide past each other

What happens when plates collide?

A

At some plate boundaries the crust is destroyed, this is a destructive plate boundary, if two plates with land (continental plates) crash ogether th crust crumples upwards making fold mountains and earthquakes

A

When two plates continuasly slide past each other this is called a transform plate boundary. Usually it causes small earthquakes, it an also cause a destructive earthquake
