What is an igneous rock?
A
This is when magma cools and hardens. Rocks form crystals as it calls down. An example of an igneous rock is granite.

What is a sedimentary rock?
A
This is layers of sediment that are compacted together until they become solid rock. An example of a sedimentary rock is limestone and chalk.

What is a metamorphic rock?
A
They are formed when other rocks like igneous and metamorphic are changed by heat and pressure. New rock becomes harder and more compact.
