Rocks that have been through the deposition of and solidification of sediment
Igneous Rock
Formed by a volcano or solidification of a molten rock
Metamorphic Rock
Formed by extreme heat and pressure changes that structure of rock
Rock Cycle
The process in which rocks are continuously between the rock type
Sediment
Mineral or organic matter carried and deposited by water or wind that may be consolidated into a rock (tiny pieces of rocks or minerals )
Weathering
Breaks rocks down into sediment using wind ice, water, extreme temperatures
Erosion
The movement of small pieces or sediment due to wind water gravity and other natural forces
Deposition
When sediment are deposited or dropped off in different location
Cementation
The hardness and sticking of mineral
Molten
Liquefied by heat
Magma
A hot, molten rock below the earth surface
Lava
Molten rock that erupts from volcano
