What are the 3 laser policies?
FREE
RESTRICTED
SUSPENDED
What is the FREE policy on the laser?
The key is in, you already have permission to fire and it is ready to operate
What is the RESTRICTED policy on the laser?
Key is in it is either in safe or operate, you are required to ask permission from the PWO to fire laser if solution invalid
What is the SUSPENDED policy on the laser?
Key out, position in safe and fire is not permitted
What are the EOD settings?
MAN SLAVE TDS SCAN DECK REF SPARE
What is STANDBY on the EOD?
EOD is at R/G 90•
What is MAN on the EOD?
You can move the EOD freely with the joystick
What is SLAVE TDS on the EOD?
Unlatches any EOD mode set and the EOD follows TDS demands
What is SCAN on the EOD?
Scans the mode set
What is DECK REF on the EOD?
The EOD is active and responds to Pre-Mission set reference demand position
What is PRED ON?
Predictor on, angles and ballistic solution are controlled by the predictor if mount is in Gun Follow
What is DEF IN?
When pressed the gun will be controlled with ballistic solution if gun is in Mount Follow
What is MOUNT FLLW?
The mount follows where the EOD is currently facing
How can you bring the mount to R/G 90•?
Load button
What is the TDS used for?
It’s a set of fancy binoculars that Seamen use to follow the EOD
