4 key points about Robbery
1) the level of force may be minimal ie. pushing/ jostling (Dawson 1977)
2) force may be applied to person or property (Clouden 1987)
3) fear of force will suffice ie. threats
4) force must be used to facilitate threats - causal link between the theft and the force used.

AR and MR
AR– force to any person at the time or immediately before the theft
MR– (same as theft) dishonesty, intention to permanently deprive, intention use of force

Appropriation is a continuing act that commences with the first assumption of the owners rights but which does not cease immediately.
