Informing a person of a “stick up” conveys a threat of injury if property is not surrendered. Appellant would have us read into the statue a proviso that the actor be exonerated by the victim’s failure to take the threat seriously. We are unwilling to do so, as the statute says nothing about the victims subjective state of mind.

a robbery may be committed by a taking from the presence of control or another as well as a person’s body. Common sense dictates that a person need not be in actual physical possession of property to have it taken from his person and we can envision numerous hypothetical situations in which such an approach would apply.
