Q

What is indavidualism

My definitiom and the textbook definition

A

.

Text book definition, “ During the Middle Ages, the collective group was more important than the individuals, such as the residents of a manor. This would change as people began to view human worth and the fact that the individual was more important than the larger community. This allowed artists, architects, authors, and composers to move away from religious topics and instead allowed them to use their imagination and explore human potential.”

My definiton
The idea the you as an indavidual are more important the a group of poeple. this gave people the freedom to be more creative and move away from religon.

Q

What is Humanism

THe books definiton and my definition

A

The books definition” Medieval thinkers believed that spirituality and faith were more important to study than self-worth. Humanists believed that learning a variety of topics led to a better life on earth, rather than focusing solely on getting into heaven. The liberal arts were reintroduced like the study of grammar, music, logic, and arithmetic just to name a few. People returned to studying the classical world of the ancient Greeks and Romans. This is known as classical scholarship”
My definition
Instead of focusing only on religon you should think of other things like education
