What is a Revolution?

A forcable overthrow or coup of the current government or social order in favor of a new system
- Synonyms: revolt,uprising,riot
What are the 3 criteria to make a revolution?
The 3 things that must happen
- The people of the community must be upset with the status quo or see a need to chang it
- Present a plan for a change that seems better the the status wuo thats already in place
- The plan is put into action and the plan is followed and change actually happens
IF these criteria are not met its a rebelion not a revolution
Status quo- The way things are especially regarding social or political issues
What is a tragic necessesity?

A tragic necessesity is when something has to happen but if/ when ot happens there will be negitive consiquenses
Ex-when you have to talk back but you know you will be sent to your room

Text book definition, “ During the Middle Ages, the collective group was more important than the individuals, such as the residents of a manor. This would change as people began to view human worth and the fact that the individual was more important than the larger community. This allowed artists, architects, authors, and composers to move away from religious topics and instead allowed them to use their imagination and explore human potential.”

The idea the you as an indavidual are more important the a group of poeple. this gave people the freedom to be more creative and move away from religon.

THe books definiton and my definition
The books definition” Medieval thinkers believed that spirituality and faith were more important to study than self-worth. Humanists believed that learning a variety of topics led to a better life on earth, rather than focusing solely on getting into heaven. The liberal arts were reintroduced like the study of grammar, music, logic, and arithmetic just to name a few. People returned to studying the classical world of the ancient Greeks and Romans. This is known as classical scholarship”

Instead of focusing only on religon you should think of other things like education

Martin Luthor is someone who spoke up aginst all of the horrible things the church was doing to the people. He translated to bible from latin to German English and French, that was the language of the commeners or commen people. He also made th e 95 theses. He created his own branch of cristianity
What is Cristian Humanism
Cristian humanism focused more on what it meands to be a perfect cristian and base your whole life on love and peace
What is renissance?
Renissance is a time iin history where the poeple relized that here was mor to life than religon and trying to get into heaven. They relized that you should enjoy life
Who was Leanordo da Vinci
He was a male artist that lived in the time period of the renissance. His nickname was the renissiance man. He was most well known for his panting titled The mona lisa, But msde other incredible art such as the last supper. His name translstes to leanard from Vinci and he was born before his parents got married.
