  1. Be in the correct position on the approach
  2. Be travelling at the right speed for the bend or corner
  3. Have the right gear for the speed
  4. Be able to stop in the distance you can see to be clear on your own side of the road
  5. Open the throttle enough to maintain a constant speed round the bend – positive throttle.
