What are the driver license types and the conditions?
Learners - must be accompanied by a supervised who has had a full license for at least 2 years.
Restricted - must be accompanied by a supervisor who has had a full license for at least 2 years between 10pm - 5am or when carrying a passenger unless they are a spouse or dependents.
What is inconsiderate driving?
Inattention or thoughtless actions or omissions
eg driving at such a slow speed to hinder traffic.
Explain careless driving?
Falling below the driving standards eg indicating left but changing your mind last minute & turning right into the path of an overtaking car.
Explain dangerous driving?
Driving in a manner or speed which was or might be dangerous to anyone
Explain reckless driving?
Knowingly disregarding ones duty as a driver & deliberately running an unjustifiable risk of injury or collision.
What are the offences of driving whilst disqualified?
First or second offence: 3 months or $4500 & 6 months or more disqualification from driving.
Third or subsequent offence: 2 years or $6000 and 1 year or more disqualification from driving.
What are the arrest powers of a boy racer offence?
You can arrest for offences under S36A 1(a) & 1(c)
Whats involved and what are the powers under the LTA 1998 S114?
Stopping vehicles & demanding details. 114(6) powers of arrest if they fail to stop, refuse to supply details or supplies details you have a good cause to suspect are false or misleading
What is the section and what are the powers under the LTA 1998 S113?
General roadway related powers (DIMDFFD)
You can arrest without a warrant under S116 if you have good cause that the person hasn’t complied with direction.
Whats the section involve and what are the powers under the LTA 1998 S115?
Banning vehicles from the road (stickers) - powers of arrest under 116 if fails to company with any directions. Offence to remove stickers.

Power to impound vehicles for 12 hours if you believe is in interest of public safety. This provision is the last resort.
What is a hit & run?
Person is struck by a vehicle & injured or killed, driver fails to stop.
