What can we do with RNA sequencing?
A
- Quantify gene expression (What we will focus on)
- Detect and quantify alternative splicing
- Genotype individuals based on RNA and relate this to gene expression
- Quantify expression of non-coding RNA
- Sequence (and assemble) all the different RNA molecules produced by an organism (Transcriptome)
