Parts of a river system: source
The start of a river
Mouth
Where the river joins the ocean
Tributary
A small stream that joins up to the river

The point where two rivers join
Watershed
The boundary between one drainage basin and another
Material transportation: traction
Boulders roll along the river bed
Saltation
Small particles bounce along the river bed
Suspension
Fine particles are carried along in the water of the river
Parts of a river system: meander
A sweeping bend in the river
Solution
Some minerals dissolve in the water and get carried by the currant
What is hydraulic action
This is the sheer power of the water as it smashes against the river banks
