What are the characteristics of the River Eden?
A

Q
What’s the geology of the River Eden?
A

5
Q
How does the rock type affect the river?
A
- The areas where the rocks are permeable have high rates of infiltration which results in high groundwater stores
- In the areas made of impermeable rock, lag time is reduced due to the low infiltration rates. As a result, surface runoff increases.
