What was the Nazi party?
A German political party lead by Adolf Hitler. He was voted into power and ruled from 1933 – 1945. The ideals of the party were extremely totalitarian and nationalistic. They believed in the idea of racial superiority of the Aryan race (white), calling it the ‘master race’. They believed that all Germans should have ‘lebensraum’ which means living space in Europe. They violently hated the Jewish people and blamed Germany’s problems on them.

2) The myth that Germany had been betrayed (by the socialist government who signed the armistice)
