Explain RISC instruction sets in terms of complexity, cost, power and clock speed

A

1) RISC has fewer instruction than CISC therefore it’s slower for carrying out complex commands but it’s quick for simple basic tasks.
2) Risc is genreally cheaper to mass produce because less circuitry is required for the instruction set
3) RISC CPU’s are designed to use less power and run without dedicated cooling systems so that they can be used in smartphones.
4) Risc CPU’s run at lower clock speeds than CISC CPU’s. They can also perform simpler taskes more quickly than cisc and aren’t genreally used to carry out complex instructions
