How are leg credits determined?
1 TFP for the first 243 miles flown or 55 minutes of flight time.
How many types of RIGS are there?
There are 2 types of RIGS
Daily RIGS
Trip RIGS
Duty Hour Ratio (DHR)
For DHR, take the flight attendants duty period for that day and multiply it by .74.
Convert minutes to hundredths.
Always generates a D symbol.
.74x duty period = DHR
Duty Period Minimum (DPM)
DPM pays 4 TFP for the day when the leg pay is less than this minimum guarantee.
It will only be on original pairings. (A-R)
Always generates a M symbol.
Always pays 4TFP
Trip Hour Ratio (THR)
THR is time away from base divided by 3.
Convert minutes to hundredths
Always generates a (T) symbol.
TAFB/3 (time away from base)
Average Daily Guarantee. (ADG)
ADG pays 6.5 x number of duty periods in a pairing.
It will only be on original pairings (A-R)
Always generates an (A) symbol.
ADG = 6.5 x number of days in a trip = TFP.
Scheduler Split (S)
Means coverage out of open time.
Gives an (S) in the status box.
Open Split
Scheduling splits off a flight attendant’s trip due to SLOS, legality pulls, CC, etc.
Nothing will be in the status box.
Flight attendant split. (F)
When a flight attendant splits a trip.
Gives and (F) in the status box.
Optimizing (O)
Combing two trips in open time. Full RIG apply.
Gives an (O) in the status box.
(P) symbol
Blocks ADH, DPM, THR, And DHR from being recalculated to split duty periods or trips. However it holds exciting prorated RIG.
Will allow DHR and THR to recalculate in the event the flight runs more then 3 hours late.
Always generates a P symbol.
In order for DHR and THR to recalculate.
The flight would need to run more then three hours late.
(Q) symbol
The Q symbol blocks ADG and DPM.
Holds existing prorated RIGS.
THR and DHR can still kick in.
If THR recalculates it will show a (U) symbol.
If DHR recalculates it will show a E symbol.
Always generates a Q symbol.
(U) symbol
If THR recalculates.
(E) symbol
If DHR recalculates.
Airport Standby Compensation
Airport Standby is paid at .1TFP for every 6 minutes.
Each full hour is worth 1 TFP.
If a flight attendant sits the full 5 hours they will be compensated 5 TFP.
Auditing inbounders
This audit will occur on the PM and midnight shifts.
Skip any original trips.
The second letter of the pairing is A-R
Audit all modified trips.
The second letter of the pairing is S-Z
Reason code for auditing is AT. (Payroll adjustment)
What reason code would you use to show that you needed to make payroll adjustments.
(AT) is the reason code we would use, when auditing our inbounders to make payroll adjustment.

It’s what we would use when auditing inbounders to make payroll adjustments.
Auditing Steps
I and Q all duty periods, as well as the pairing total.
If the pay goes up on the pairing, save the pairing using (AT) payroll adjustment reason code.
If the pay goes down, refresh and mark the pairing for audit.
Southwest pays our flight attendants based off of the time worked, the distance flown or a minimum amount whatever is greatest.
On the PM shift everyday, schedulers are responsible for auditing the pay for inbound reserve flight attendants.
(D) symbol

(M) symbol
DPM always generates a M symbol.
(T) symbol
Always generates a T symbol.
(A) symbol
ADG always generates an A symbol.
