What rhythms are used? (e.g. syncopation, cross-rhythms, etc.)
Regular or irregular sense of pulse?
Is a rhythm spread out over bars/phrases?
Regular/Irregular lengths?
Time signature? (compound or simple?) Does it change frequently?
Harmonic rhythm? (Does this change pace quickly and what is its effect on the piece - does it make it seem like it’s speeding up?
Is the speed of the music consistent?
