Early harvest in N Rhone with cooler nights. Record setting heat and but the wines still show elegance and balance. Silky tannins mean approachable but acidity lends to long term aging.
S Rhone had mild winter with hot dry summer with cool nights. Fresh and balanced wines with supple fruit structure.

S Rhone: 94 racy, structured reds in Châteauneuf-du-Pape that have continued to put on weight as they evolve

Southern Rhone is lush, soft, and silky; highly regarded.
