Q

What is the main difference between myasthenia gravis and lambert-eaton myasthenic syndrome

A

Although it results in muscle weakness, the weakness observed in Lambert-Eaton syndrome is not fatigable and typically increases in strength with repeated action. Furthermore, Lambert-Eaton syndrome is a paraneoplastic syndrome most commonly associated with small-cell lung cancer and less frequently with ovarian or breast cancer. There is no indication that this patient has an underlying malignancy.

Myasthenia gravis gets worse with action and improves with rest
